We started with a bag of 15-Bean Soup from the neighborhood grocery store. |

The students worked carefully as they sorted and identified the beans.

The beans were lots of different sizes, shapes and pretty colors.

The K-5 Kids planted fifteen types of beans including pinto, garbanzo and red beans. |
|
The kidney, navy, lentil, pink
and small-lima beans grew quickly under the warm sun. |
|
We also made rows for lots of black, white, cranberry and large-lima beans and also black-eyed peas. |
|
The only beans that did not sprout were the yellow and green split peas and the garbanzo beans.
