Dear Parents:

The SCPS School Board approved the East Phase of the Rezoning process on Tuesday, April 16th . Following the meeting, Principals were informed that we must send individualized rezoning letters home to ALL students as soon as possible.

These rezoning letters will identify each student's 2013-14 school assignment. The letter will indicate whether they will remain at Keeth Elementary or if they will be rezoned to another school for the 2013-14 school year. Again - ALL students will get a letter.

Here is our Keeth plan in distributing the letters:

Parents MUST come to the school to pick up their letters. Times are as follows:

Thursday, April 18 12:00pm-3:30pm

OR

Friday, April 19 8:00am-3:30pm

We will need ALL parents to come in and pick up their individualized letters in the front office.

In the Fall of 2011, Keeth Elementary was granted 21 Apple iPads to pilot in their music program. Our music teacher, Mr. Litt, uses these iPads to supplement his curriculum by providing all students to utilize apps, programs, and lessons to further enhance their musical knowledge and comprehension. This project was also invited to be featured at the Seminole County Public School's Technology Exposition to illustrate its effectiveness as an educational tool. In May 2012, the district awarded Keeth Elementary with the Paul J. Hagerty Technology Award for demonstrating the best exceptional use of technology in an elementary classroom.

Congratulations to Keeth for being selected as the FOX Cool School of the Week in April 2012 AND August 2012!

KEETH WINS COOL SCHOOL OF THE WEEK-FOX35!

Keeth Elementary School is the proud recipient of Fox 35 Orlando's Cool School of the Week award. Keeth accumulated the most votes proving once again our strength, pride and dedication to Keeth's students and staff. This year's cool school award represents another shining example of what we can accomplish when we're called to action. Keeth will be honored on Wednesday, September 5 (Subject to Change) during a live broadcast of the Good Day morning show between 9:00-10:00 AM when all of Keeth cubs and cougars can show Fox35's viewers why Keeth is truly the coolest school! Keeth is now a two-time Fox35 Cool School of the week award winner. Thank you for all your votes.
