May 7 Onward

Curriculum

For the remainder of the school year, students will look at various ways a growing human population is affecting our environment.  We'll cover garbage, climate change, desalination methods, and alternative energy. 

We will also be completing a project which will culminate with a Mini-Science Fair Board (on construction paper).  Our topic is how pollutants can affect plant growth. Students will have do their observations at school, typing uo their work at home and finishing the boards on class.  The boards are due by Friday, May 25.

Important Notes:

Students should be writing in their Planners on a daily basis in this class. 

Their Science Journals (3-ring binder) should be neat and orderly by date.  Nothing should be "stuffed" in their pockets.  There should be three divided sections:  Classwork, Labs, Bellwork.
